Hear ya, hear ya smiths of Britannia!

The United Blackmsiths of Britannia call for a blacksmith contest on Friday, October 22, 2004. The location of this contest will be Britains Blacksmith Guildhouse on Trammel facette. The guildhouse is located south-west of the city of Britain just before the Gung Farmers Bridge near the First Bank of Britain.

The contest will start at 19:30 Central European Time (13:30 Eastern Time). Note that the starting time has changed slightly. We will have various separate groups of skill levels. These groups will compete against themselves. Groups are as follows:

Novice Smith (under 50.0 skill)
Apprentice Smith (50.0-59.9 skill)
Journeyman Smith (60.0-69.9 skill)
Expert Smith (70.0-79.9 skill)
Adept Smith (80.0-89.9 skill)
Master Smith (90.0-99.9 skill)
Grandmaster Smith (100.0-109.9 skill)
Elder Smith (110.0-119.9 skill)
Legendary Smith (120.0 skill)
UBB Smiths (UBB members only)

Each competitor has to sign on before. The sign on will start at 19:30 until 20:30 CET. Afterwards each competitor will receive a bag with a blank scroll, a certain amount of ingots and a blacksmith hammer of course. During the following time frame all smiths have to craft items which they believe will sell for the most. The bags of products they have made and a repair deed have to be turned in again. We will then sell those products to the NPC smith on location and record the amount of gold that they will give us for the products. All bags have to be turned in until 21:30 CET. After a short brake and a drink or two we will nominate the winners of each group and reward them.

Rewards will be among other things ingots, Runic Hammers, Ancient Hammers, Powder of Fortifying, Scrolls of Blacksmithy and gold.

The only way to be disqualified from the event will be in case of

1. using a Runic Hammer
2. using an Ancient Hammer
3. using more ingots then what was provided to you
4. leaving the location during the process of crafting.

For any smith interested in joining the UBB, we will be happy to give you all relevant information after the event and if not too busy also during the event.
